This past weekend I was able to finally go and see/play in some snow! My friend Emma and I took a 2 hour train ride up to Engleberg to spend the day making snowmen and drinking hot chocolate. The ride up there was absolutely stunning, with the hills either having snow on them or being saturated in fall-colored trees. On our train there were multiple people with their skis, which means that it is officially *basically* winter! All though we haven't gotten any snow here in Bern yet, I'm hoping for some to come soon! When we first got to Engelberg, we were both in awe, because we both L-O-V-E the snow. We found an empty parking lot that was filled with snow and just started jumping around in it. After that we looked in some winter stores and then decided to go make a snowman. We found the perfect place, with the background made up of snow covered pine trees and the beautiful Alps. We took lots of pictures and ended up naming out snowman Watson. We were going to make him a friend named Sherlock (hahahahahaha), but ended up not having enough time to. We also had lunch and hot chocolate in a small restaurant that had big picture windows that gave you an amazing view of the mountains. Overall, I had an amazing time for my first snow day here in Switzi and I can't wait for it to snow some more!
